Well we’ve been here at our destination now for 5 days. What was our destination???...La Penita. Yes, we were here last year as well. Fact is we were here twice last year. The first time was from the 6th of December to the 6th of January and then again in mid March for another month. First it took us a couple of days to get assigned our site, (which we have a “Primo” location sitting directly above the sand and sea of the Pacific Ocean)
and then it’s taken us 3 more days to get used to it (as I sit here typing while listening to the waves crash below me). I’m still unpacking, setting up, and washing the coach, but that all takes time. We also need some time to PLAY !!! Personally I’ve been in the pool to play water volleyball, ride my bike with George (Sol and some others here in the park will be joining us in the next week or so), past the town of La Penita, Rincon de Guayabitos, and Los Ayala (this takes just over an hour and covers about 18 miles). Then I walk the stairs from the upper park to the beach 5 times each way, about 60 steps up and 60 down… then Louise wants to head into town to do some shopping. Now I’m not complaining or bragging but I just want to get rid of this middle that I brought with me this year. Louise has been working out as well but staying off the bike. She just doesn’t feel comfortable riding, especially on the streets. She’s chosen to walk the soft sand of the beach
and work out with the group from the campground doing aerobics. Sol and Carol received some close friends here yesterday. John and Kay are close friends of Sol and Carol from Steamboat Springs.
They are here for a week in their condo in Puerto Vallarta. Yesterday they drove up and we all went up to Chacala for lunch and a little R&R. Then Sol and Carol joined them for a couple of days back at their condo. Oh yea, I bought myself a hammock from one of the beach vendors… I can’t wait to get it up. From the first day that we decided to return here I decided I wanted my hammock.
